The University of Ljubljana (UL) is dedicated to the development ad dissemination of knowledge in the field of sustainability, and in fostering a deeper understanding of the need for a transformation towards a sustainable society. UL's activities in this area include:
- Engaging in critical reflection on the challenges and their complexity in the context of sustainable transformation.
- Fostering social dialogue on the challenges related to sustainable development
- Monitoring and expanding their own behaviour and influence on systemic and behavioural changes that support sustainable transformation.
In 2023, UL established a dedicated interdisciplinary Academic Sustainable Development Group (ASTRA). The group's main task is to develop statements and guidelines for the assessment of sustainability competencies and the implementation of a forthcoming sustainability strategy.
