The University of Valencia has committed to sustainability, increasing its resources to contribute to the fulfillment of these goals. There is little time left, but the circumstances are propitious to achieve it. The declaration of the city of Valencia as one of the 100 climate-neutral cities by the European Commission is fertile ground for sustainability initiatives in all areas, as well as European funding for sustainability and resilience.
There are several axes that the vice-rectorate for sustainability aims to address: energy efficiency and mobility, waste management, fair and proximity trade, curricular sustainability, health and community awareness and promotion of new partnerships. Therefore, the new sustainability team is made up of people with extensive experience and a high degree of commitment to the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.
