17th conference on Higher Education Reform
To be held June 21 – 23, 2023 at the University of Glasgow (Scotland, UK)
Sustainable Development Goals: Their potential and relevance
for higher education policy and reform
HER2023 invites the research and teaching community to answer this question in analysing the place and work of Higher Education in and beyond the SDGs period to 2030, but also more immediately as global warming indicators accelerate their rise. Join us at the University of Glasgow from 21-23 June 2023 at our 17th conference organised by the Centre for Research and Development in Adult and Lifelong Learning. IAU Secretary General Dr. Hilligje van't Land will be amongst the keynote speakers.
Questions that will be addressed include:
- How does Higher Education’s mission and work relate to the SDGs?
- How can Higher Education contribute to the trans-sectoral and transdisciplinary efforts urgently needed for the survival of the planet and its inhabitants, and for creating healthy and socially just living conditions for all people?
- What changes are needed in the ways the principal missions of Higher Education Institutions are presently defined, organized and financed?
