About
Founded in 1946 (and attaining full university status in 1994), Europa-Universität Flensburg embraces its European border-region location to champion teaching, research and engagement informed by diversity, justice and sustainability. With around 5 781 students and approximately 677 staff members (as of Fall 2024/25) it offers programmes across three faculties covering educational sciences and teacher training, humanities and social sciences (including European and cultural studies), as well as management and sustainable energy/technology studies. Its research strengths lie in educational science, interdisciplinary European studies and transformation/sustainability research. Located on a green campus on the Danish border with modern teaching facilities, student housing, library and international partnerships with more than 80 universities, EUF supports a globally-connected academic environment.
