The European University Viadrina Frankfurt Oder (hereinafter the Viadrina) was founded in 1991 with three faculties specialized in law, economics, and culture. As of 2024, the university hosts just under 4,000 students, of which 59% are domestic students and 41% are foreign students. With its position in Frankfurt an der Oder, it embraces German-Polish connectedness.
The university has published a working paper on the competence-oriented curricular development of degree programmes concerning digitalisation, sustainability, diversity, and future skills.
