Handong Global University (HGU)

Vision

Handong Global University (HGU) is committed to whole-person, Christian and global education of young men and women so that they become competent, global citizens to change the world. HGU believes that education is the best means for sustainable development. 

Handong Global University (HGU) was designated as the host university of the UNITWIN (University Twinning and Networking) Network on Capacity Building of Sustainable Development in Developing Countries established by UNESCO in 2007. Also, HGU has been greatly expanding the UNITWIN network to realize a “North-North-South-South,” quadrangular cooperation structure first time in the world.

Mission

The principal objective of HGU’s ESD mission is to help developing countries to develop themselves through education. HGU assists capacity building for higher education systems of developing countries.
