Mission

The University of Palermo has the following missions: to train, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, research and provide services to its academic community and society. Its primary purpose is to provide quality education, focusing on the learner in order to strengthen his or her capacities to the fullest and to contribute to the expansion of knowledge, the diffusion of ideas, the integration of culture, the globalization of higher education and the change of the contemporary world in pursuit of the improvement of the human condition.
