Center for Social Sustainability - CSS

The Center for Social Sustainability (CSS) is an interdisciplinary and international center, carrying out research projects on social sustainability while producing creative, relevant and concrete research.

For many years now, there has been an awareness that the future of the world relies on ecological sustainability. But we often tend to forget social sustainability, that is, how people interact as individuals, in groups and in society. The purpose of the CCS is to create a research platform to enlarge our knowledge about social sustainability. We will explore how people can interact more efficiently so as to complement the environmental perspective for a sustainable society which includes human relations.
