One Ocean Week 2023 - University of Bergen

The University of Bergen is co-organizing various activities around One Ocean Week, taking place from 15 to 22 of April, in Bergen, Norway, including welcoming the tall ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl back home from it's almost two year One Ocean Expedition around the world. All events organized that week will be free to attend and open to everyone!

This includes a dialogue on the now concluded Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction negotiations and COP15/the Convention on Biological Diversity. Learn more about the program here. 

IAU colleagues also had the opportunity to visit the ship in January during its stop in Cape Town and on the occasion of a workshop on SDG 13 and SDG 14, jointly organized by the IAU and UiB, Cluster Lead for SDG 14 in the IAU HESD Cluster. Find out more about the Cape Town meeting here.
