"A Tree in Your Name" Initiative at Al-Hadba University

Al-Hadba University launched the “A Tree in Your Name” initiative in May, 2025. It is a campus-wide tree-planting campaign that invited faculty and staff to plant trees dedicated in their names. The event was attended by University President Professor Dr. Badi Ali Ahmed, Assistant to the University President for Administrative Affairs Professor Dr. Hassan Subhi Al-Abbas, Head of Student Activities Department Professor Dr. Nawfal Mohammed Mahmoud, and the Head of Cultural Activities Section. The project aimed to enhance environmental awareness, expand green spaces on campus, and strengthen the sense of belonging and shared responsibility within the university community. This initiative reflects AHU’s broader commitment to sustainability and aligns with the SDGs.
