The Francophone Network of Responsible Women in Higher Education and Research-Le Réseau francophone des femmes responsables dans l’enseignement supérieur et la recherche(RESUFF)
The Francophone Network of Responsible Women in Higher Education and Research-Le Réseau francophone des femmes responsables dans l’enseignement supérieur et la recherche (RESUFF) was created on the initiative of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), in order to promote equal access for women to positions of responsibility in higher education and research institutions. Since March 2014, it has benefited from the support of the AUF.
The RESUFF was launched in November 2015, in Dakar, Senegal and since its foundation, RESUFF has set up, with the help of the University of Rennes II, sessions of online training modules on gender.
The RESUFF, which today has 66 institutional, association and individual members, held its Constituent Assembly on October 16, 2015. It works for the creation of the "Francophone Observatory of Gender at the University" and campaigns through its actions for an egalitarian university and the dissemination of good practices.
Some of its missions consist of the promotion of the access of female academics to positions of responsibility in higher education and research institutions in the Francophonie by proposing favorable initiatives, the identification and promotion of good practices in the field of gender equality in French higher education, the strengthening of solidarity between institutions and research centers and in general the encouragement of any initiatives that can facilitate the achievement of the objectives set by the network.
