New Water Conservation Campaign Launches at the University of Regina

The University of Regina’s water conservation campaign, “Together, We Serve. Together, We Conserve,” encourages the campus community to use water responsibly and consider the hidden water footprint of everyday choices. Through posters and practical guidance, the campaign highlights simple actions such as turning off taps, reporting leaks, reducing food waste, using reusable water bottles, and making mindful purchasing decisions. It also raises awareness of “virtual water” embedded in products such as food, clothing and digital technologies. The initiative connects water conservation with broader sustainability goals, including responsible consumption, climate action and the protection of freshwater ecosystems, while demonstrating how small actions can create collective impact.
