UniNEtZ: A joint partnership for the SDGs
The Alliance of Sustainable Universities in Austria, has developed a joint project under the title "UniNEtZ – Universitäten und Nachhaltige Entwicklungsziele (Universities and Sustainable Development Goals)".
In this cooperation of 14 universities, the partner institutions take on so-called sponsorships for the SDGs, meaning that they coordinate and compile all knowledge and activities throughout Austria on the respective SDG.
Through these intensive collaborations, all contributions are collected and coordinated with each other in the form of option papers, with the goal of supporting the Austrian government in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. The project also focuses on networking between universities and embedding the SDGs in research and teaching.
Some of the goals of this action, involve developing a systematic view of the SDGs and how they can be implemented in Austria, addressing the SDGs in research, teaching, and education, networking within and across universities, building knowledge for the issues raised by the SDGs among teachers and students and more .
