The UOC's eHealth Center and the Globalization and Cooperation area, as the leaders of the SDG 3 cluster within the International Association of Universities (IAU) Global Cluster on HESD (Higher Education and Research for Sustainable Development), organized a webinar in collaboration with the IAU to discuss the challenges facing the higher education system in the training of healthcare professionals in an age marked by COVID-19. The webinar, which will took place on 27 October 2020, 14.30-16.00 CET , is part of a series on the future of higher education organized by the IAU and aimed at university faculty, healthcare professionals and policymakers.

  • Training healthcare professionals today

The health crisis caused by COVID-19 has forced us to rethink our economic and health system to make it more sustainable and better adapted to the challenges of the 2030 Agenda. Higher education institutions, knowledge generators and trainers of healthcare professionals have a fundamental role to play. What are the challenges and changes facing these institutions in offering healthcare professionals adequate training given the current situation? To answer this and other questions, the SDG 3 cluster will bring together experts from all the continents to share opinions and strategies seeking to foster sustainable development in health and well-being in higher education.
