TU Dublin Green Week 2025
Technological University (TU) Dublin Green Week 2025 was a resounding success, concluding with a major tree planting event at the University’s Blanchardstown campus. Held from March 10 to 14, the annual event brought together students, staff, and members of the wider community to celebrate environmental action and innovation.
In partnership with Microsoft and Trees on the Land, TU Dublin planted 1,800 native Irish trees, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, biodiversity, and long-term climate resilience. This initiative not only enhances green space on campus but also strengthens community ties and environmental awareness.
Throughout the week, all five TU Dublin campuses hosted a wide range of interactive, solution-focused events. These included expert talks on nature restoration and the intersections of climate and architecture, as well as beach and campus clean-ups, clothing swaps, and hands-on workshops on doughnut economics.
Green Week plays a key role in TU Dublin’s wider sustainability strategy. It brings together students, faculty, local residents, industry partners, and policymakers to drive environmental engagement and create lasting impact. The initiative reflects the University’s goal to be deeply embedded in its region while also leading transformative change on climate and sustainability.
As an annual celebration of environmental leadership, innovation, and partnerships, TU Dublin Green Week mobilizes the entire university ecosystem to advance the sustainability agenda and strengthen climate action across teaching, research, operations, and community outreach.
