Youth Programmes
In 2002, the Advisors for special projects departments launched three youth programmes:
1. Youth for sustainable development and Better Understanding (YESBU);
2. League of Young Master (LYM);
3. African League of Young Masters (ALYM).
Objectives
These programs aim to promote environmental awareness and capacities building among youth and increase youth active participation in the development of their societies and in improving their local living standards

- Three weekly lectures to the youth and environmental programs;
- Field trips;
- Conferences;
- Workshops;
- Environmental E-learning Course
Results
2004 - Global Environmental Youth Convention (organiser), attended by 350 international participants
2006 - Global Environmental Youth Convention (co-organiser), a project submitted by a YESBU student won the first place in the field of Wastes.
Awards
A number of universities scholarships were awarded to our students such as:
Scholarships from the American University of Cairo, AUC in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011;
Scholarships from the American University of Beirut, AUB, in 2008;
Masters and PhD program in Max Planck institute in 2010.
Innovative Aspects
A number of innovating projects serving the community were developed by students:
1- Recycling: used paper of a school in Alexandria were collected and bought to a paper factory. The income of the project was paid as tuition fees for school students in rural areas.
2- Abees Building renovation: students repaired and renovated a house architecturally in a rural village. They also prepared an educational, environmental and medical awareness campaigns in order to improve the quality of life and awareness of its residents.
